The Future is Now Challenge By De La Beuh Body

Week 1: Product Cleanse

Happy New Years! We are starting 2020 with a wellness challenge. This will challenge us to be the best versions of ourselve by first changing the things we do not like. Follow along with us for the month of January on social media and this blog! Post photos on all social media platforms, tag us, and at the end of the month we will pick one winner who will be featured on our page and given a gift card to our site.

We are in week 1 of our challenge. Part 1 of this week, we are getting rid of BAD PRODUCTS. This includes our skin and body-care products. What are bad products you ask? They are products that contain harmful ingredients, that you may find on the shelves of stores you trust. This means that it is up to YOU to decide what you are putting on your skin and into your body - and make the choice to buy products with natural ingredients like De La Beuh.

Here are some ingredients to watch out for in common household face & body products.

Phthalates: Used as a dissolving agent in products. Can be found in perfumes, hair sprays and nail polishes. They actually negatively effect your hormones and reproductive system! No thank you!

Formaldehyde: Used to preserve products. It can be found in body wash, soap and makeup. It is a carcinogen, meaning it can cause cancer and skin irritation.

Parabens: Also used to preserve products. Found in Sunscreens, Creams, Moisturizers, and shampoo. This is another one that interferes with our reproductive system...YIKES!

Fragrances: Probably the most commonly used harmful ingredient. Used to scent products, and sometimes used to cover up unpleasant smells from other ingredients. Found in almost ALL creams, shampoos, body wash, perfumes, face masks, moisturizers etc. De La Beuh Body DOES NOT EVER USE FRAGRANCE OILS, or ANY other product on this list in our line!

Sulfates (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate): Skin irritant, may clog hair particles. These are used as a bubbling agent in products like soaps and shampoo. De La Beuh uses a natural alternative that comes from coconuts, which is a natural and less aggressive effervescent option.

We would also like to suggest buying from cruelty free brands, who do not test their formulas on animals.

Tune back in on our blog on Friday to see which foods are negatively effecting our skin!

Switch the products in your bathroom from ones that have the above ingredients with natural and plant based products.
